The Perquimans Pirates (Hertford, NC) football nudged the host Washington County Panthers (Plymouth, NC), 34-28 in Friday's league bout.

In their next game, the Pirates face the Tarboro Vikings (Tarboro, NC) in a 1A Four Rivers bout, on Friday, October 6. Perquimans will attempt to move on its 5-0 season record. The Vikings enter the bout with a 5-0 record after their 49-6 league win over Bertie (Windsor, NC).
