In Friday's league game, the University Lab Cubs (Baton Rouge, LA) football team smashed the visiting Port Allen Pelicans (Port Allen, LA), by a final score of 49-14.

The Cubs (4-1) will now prepare for their game against Lawrence County (Monticello, MS). The Cougars come into the non-league game with a 3-3 record. In their last game, Lawrence County overwhelmed Sumrall (Sumrall, MS), 53-37, in a league game.

The Pelicans now hold a 2-3 record. They take the field next when they host Madison Prep Academy for a 3A District 6 game on Friday, October 6. Port Allen will battle a team coming off a 50-0 league win over Mentorship Academy (Baton Rouge, LA). The record now stands at 3-2.
