Game Story

Georgia High School Football - River Ridge held off by Sequoyah

September 29, 2023: Woodstock, GA 30188

In Friday's league game, the Sequoyah Chiefs (Canton, GA) football team tipped the host River Ridge Knights (Woodstock, GA), by a final score of 35-28.

The Chiefs (4-2) will now prepare for their game against Rome (Rome, GA). The Wolves come into the AAAAAA Region 6 game with a 5-1 record. In their last game, Rome got by Woodstock (Woodstock, GA), 59-7, in a league game.

The Knights now hold a 3-3 record. They take the field next when they travel to Creekview for a AAAAAA Region 6 game on Friday, October 6. River Ridge will battle a Grizzlies team coming off a 23-9 league win over Etowah (Woodstock, GA). The Grizzlies record now stands at 5-1.
