West Virginia High School Football - Fairmont Senior falls to University
September 29, 2025: Fairmont, WV 26554 The University Hawks felled the host Fairmont Senior Polar Bears football squad by a margin of 36-27 in Monday's non-league test.
The Hawks now sport a 2-0 record. They take the field next when they travel to Connellsville for a non-league test on Saturday, October 11. University will meet a Falcons squad coming off a 44-27 non-league loss to Butler (Butler, PA). The Falcons record now stands at 0-3.
With the defeat, Fairmont Senior drops to 0-1 on the campaign. The Polar bears travel to Buckhannon-Upshur (Buckhannon, WV) to face the Buccaneers in a non-league challenge on Monday, October 6. The Buccaneers enter the challenge with a record of 0-0.
