In Monday's non-league challenge, the visiting Research Triangle Academy volleyball team scored a 3-1 win over the Southern School of Energy and Sustainability Spartans.
With the win, Research Triangle Academy improves its record to 1-0 on the season. The host Triangle Math & Science (Apex, NC) to face the Tigers in a non-league test on Monday, October 6. The Tigers go into the test with a record of 0-15.
The Spartans now own a 3-14 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Northern Durham for a Tobacco Road 6A/7A test on Tuesday, September 30. Southern School of Energy and Sustainability will face a Knights squad coming off a 3-1 non-league loss to Voyager Academy (Durham, NC). The Knights record now stands at 9-8.
