The Franklin Cougars football team (El Paso, TX), was beaten 51-20 in Friday's non-league challenge with the host Midland Christian Mustangs (Midland, TX)

The Mustangs (2-0) will now prepare for their challenge against Wall (Wall, TX). The Hawks come into the non-league challenge with a 1-1 record. In their last challenge, Wall was beaten by Cisco (Cisco, TX), 27-21, in a non-league challenge.

The Cougars now sport a 0-2 record. They take the field next when they travel to Andress for a non-league challenge on Friday, September 10. Franklin will meet a Eagles team coming off a 24-20 non-league win over Parkland (El Paso, TX). The Eagles record now stands at 2-0.
