North Carolina High School Football - Independence knocked off by West Charlotte

September 3, 2021: Charlotte, NC 28227

West Charlotte Lions (Charlotte, NC) fans left the game content Friday as they saw their football team gain a win over the host Independence Patriots (Charlotte, NC), 15-6 in a league test.

With the triumph, West Charlotte improves its record to 2-0 on the campaign. The Lions travel to Garinger (Charlotte, NC) to confront the Wildcats in a non-league test on Friday, September 10. The Wildcats come into the test with a record of 0-2. Garinger lost 49-0 in their recent non-league test against West Mecklenburg (Charlotte, NC)

With the loss, Independence drops to 0-2 on the campaign. The Patriots host Hopewell (Huntersville, NC) to confront the Titans in a non-league test on Friday, September 10. The Titans come into the test with a record of 1-2. Hopewell lost 35-13 in their recent non-league test against Olympic (Charlotte, NC)
