In Saturday's non-league contest, the Hudson Explorers (Hudson, OH) volleyball squad nudged the visiting Hoover Vikings (North Canton, OH), by a margin of 3-2.

Next up, the Explorers battle the Brecksville-Broadview Heights Bees (Broadview Heights, OH) in a Suburban-National contest, on Tuesday, September 6. Hudson will attempt to better on its 4-2 season record. The Bees go into the contest with a 6-2 record after their 3-0 league win over Stow-Munroe Falls (Stow, OH).

With the loss, Hoover moves to 2-6 on the year. The Vikings host Jackson (Massillon, OH) to battle the Polar Bears in a Federal contest on Tuesday, September 6. The Polar Bears go into the contest with a record of 7-1. Jackson won 2-0 in their recent non-league contest against Norwalk (Norwalk, OH)
