Tennessee High School Soccer - Carter toppled by Concord Christian
September 3, 2024: Knoxville, TN 37934 Concord Christian Lions (Knoxville, TN) boosters exited the stadium pleased Tuesday as they witnessed their soccer team triumph over the visiting Carter Green Hornets (Strawberry Plains, TN), 8-0 in a non-league test.
With the triumph, Concord Christian moves its record to 5-2 on the campaign. The Lions host Christian Academy of Knoxville (Knoxville, TN) to clash with the Warriors in a D II-A East 1 test on Thursday, September 5. The Warriors come into the test with a record of 3-1. Christian Academy of Knoxville won 3-0 in their recent non-league test against Karns (Knoxville, TN)
The Green Hornets now sport a 3-4 record. They take the field next when they host Cocke County for a AA District 3 test on Thursday, September 5. Carter will clash with a Fighting Cocks team coming off a 9-0 non-league win over Cherokee (Rogersville, TN). The Fighting Cocks record now stands at 7-0.
