Tennessee High School Soccer - Jackson County knocks off Monterey
September 3, 2024: Gainesboro, TN 38562 Fans at Tuesday's non-league battle between the Jackson County Blue Devils (Gainesboro, TN) and the visiting Monterey Wildcats (Monterey, TN), saw Jackson County's soccer squad triumph over Monterey by a count of 9-4.
The Blue Devils (2-4) will now prepare for their battle against White County (Sparta, TN). The Warriors enter the non-league battle with a 1-4 record. In their last battle, White County was overwhelmed by Stone Memorial (Crossville, TN), 4-0, in a league battle.
Next up, the Wildcats battle the York Institute Dragons (Jamestown, TN) in a non-league battle, on Friday, September 6. Monterey will attempt to upgrade on its 0-3 season record. The Dragons enter the battle with a 0-4 record after their 8-0 league loss to Smith County (Carthage, TN).
