September 3, 2024: Orange Grove, TX 78372 Fans at Tuesday's non-league contest between the Orange Grove Bulldogs (Orange Grove, TX) and the visiting Mathis Pirates (Mathis, TX), observed Orange Grove's volleyball team top Mathis by a tally of 3-0.
The Bulldogs (14-7) will now prepare for their contest against Jones (Beeville, TX). The Trojans enter the non-league contest with a 19-1 record. In their last contest, Jones beat Brazos (Wallis, TX), 2-0, in a non-league contest.
Next, the Pirates meet the George West Longhorns (George West, TX) in a 3A Region IV District 29 contest, on Friday, September 6. Mathis will attempt to upgrade on its 0-5 season record. The Longhorns enter the contest with a 2-13 record after their 3-0 non-league loss to Premont (Premont, TX).
