Mt. Vernon Wildcats (Mt. Vernon, IN) boosters exited the stadium pleased Wednesday as they witnessed their soccer team knock off the visiting South Knox Spartans (Vincennes, IN), 4-1 in a non-league test.

With the triumph, Mt. Vernon moves its record to 5-3 on the campaign. The Wildcats travel to Tell City (Tell City, IN) to clash with the Marksmen in a Pocket test on Saturday, September 6. The Marksmen come into the test with a record of 0-4. Tell City lost 9-0 in their recent league test against Washington (Washington, IN)

The Spartans now sport a 3-2 record. They take the field next when they host Washington Catholic for a Blue Chip game on Saturday, September 6. South Knox will clash with a Cardinals team coming off a 1-0 non-league loss to West Vigo (West Terre Haute, IN). The Cardinals record now stands at 1-2.
