Virginia High School Football - Louisa County nipped by Courtland
September 3, 2025: Spotsylvania, VA 22553 The Courtland Cougars football squad scored 14 points and limited the visiting Louisa County Lions to 9 in the Cougars non-league triumph on Wednesday.
The Cougars now sport a 1-1 record. They take the field next when they travel to Orange County for a non-league test on Wednesday, September 10. Courtland will meet a Fighting Hornets squad coming off a 14-0 non-league loss to King George (King George, VA). The Fighting Hornets record now stands at 0-2.
The Lions (1-1) will now prepare for their challenge against Matoaca (Chesterfield, VA). The Warriors go into the non-league challenge with a 0-2 record. In their last challenge, Matoaca was edged by Benedictine (Richmond, VA), 41-7, in a non-league challenge.
