September 3, 2025: Rootstown, OH 44272 Rootstown Rovers (Rootstown, OH) boosters exited the stadium thrilled Wednesday as they witnessed their soccer team knock off the visiting Crestwood Red Devils (Mantua, OH), 3-0 in a non-league test.
With the triumph, Rootstown moves its record to 2-2 on the campaign. The Rovers host Kirtland (Kirtland, OH) to meet the Hornets in a non-league test on Tuesday, September 9. The Hornets come into the test with a record of 3-0.
The Red Devils now sport a 0-3 record. They take the field next when they host Holy Name for a non-league test on Thursday, September 4. Crestwood will confront a Green Wave squad coming off a 4-0 non-league loss to Barberton (Barberton, OH). The Green Wave record now stands at 0-2.
