Georgia High School Softball - Tiftarea Academy bounces Cairo
September 3, 2025: Cairo, GA 39828 The Tiftarea Academy Panthers (Chula, GA) softball routed the host Cairo Syrupmakers (Cairo, GA), 10-2 in Wednesday's non-league outing.
The Panthers now sport a 3-3 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Terrell Academy for a GIAA Class AAA & AAAA District 3 outing on Thursday, September 4. Tiftarea Academy will encounter a Eagles team coming off a 18-2 league win over Deerfield-Windsor (Albany, GA). The Eagles record now stands at 8-4.
The Syrupmakers (5-6) will now prepare for their outing against Dougherty (Albany, GA). The Trojans come into the 3A Region 1 outing with a 3-8 record. In their last outing, Dougherty was routed by Bainbridge (Bainbridge, GA), 17-1, in a league contest.
