September 30, 2022: Blaine, WA 98230 In Friday's league game, the Mt. Baker Mountaineers (Deming, WA) football team smashed the host Blaine Borderites (Blaine, WA), by a score of 68-16.
The Mountaineers (3-2) will now prepare for their game against La Center (La Center, WA). The Wildcats come into the non-league game with a 4-1 record. In their last game, La Center overwhelmed King's Way Christian (Vancouver, WA), 46-0, in a league game.
The Borderites now sport a 0-5 record. They take the field next when they travel to Meridian for a 1A Northwest game on Friday, October 7. Blaine will battle a Trojans team coming off a 48-15 league loss to Nooksack Valley (Everson, WA). The Trojans record now stands at 3-2.
