Neshoba Central Rockets (Philadelphia, MS) fans left the game content Saturday as they saw their football team nip the host Canton Tigers (Canton, MS), 12-7 in a league test.

With the triumph, Neshoba Central improves its record to 4-2 on the campaign. The Rockets host Ridgeland (Ridgeland, MS) to confront the Titans in a 5A Region 2 test on Friday, October 7. The Titans come into the test with a record of 5-1. Ridgeland won 56-8 in their recent non-league test against Wilkinson County (Woodville, MS)

With the loss, Canton drops to 1-5 on the campaign. The Tigers travel to Forest Hill (Jackson, MS) to confront the Patriots in a 5A Region 2 test on Saturday, October 15. The Patriots come into the test with a record of 1-5.
