September 30, 2022: Grapeland, TX 75844 The crowd at Friday's league contest between the West Sabine Tigers (Pineland, TX) and the host Grapeland Sandies (Grapeland, TX), observed West Sabine's football squad defeat Grapeland by a count of 36-12.
The Tigers now own a 2-4 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to San Augustine for a 2A-1 Region III District 11 match on Friday, October 7. West Sabine will clash with a Wolves squad coming off a 55-6 league loss to Timpson (Timpson, TX). The Wolves record now stands at 0-5.
The Sandies (1-5) will now prepare for their match against Joaquin (Joaquin, TX). The Rams enter the 2A-1 Region III District 11 match with a 4-1 record. In their last match, Joaquin thwarted Garrison (Garrison, TX), 34-21, in a league match.
