Jefferson County Tigers (Fayette, MS) fans left the game content Friday as they saw their football team gain a win over the host Port Gibson Blue Waves (Port Gibson, MS), 42-22 in a league test.

With the triumph, Jefferson County improves its record to 4-2 on the campaign. The Tigers host Franklin County (Meadville, MS) to battle the Bulldogs in a 3A Region 7 test on Friday, October 7. The Bulldogs come into the test with a record of 4-2. Franklin County lost 36-14 in their recent league test against Tylertown (Tylertown, MS)

With the loss, Port Gibson drops to 2-3 on the campaign. The Blue waves host Wilkinson County (Woodville, MS) to battle the Wildcats in a 3A Region 7 test on Friday, October 7. The Wildcats come into the test with a record of 0-7. Wilkinson County lost 56-8 in their recent non-league test against Ridgeland (Ridgeland, MS)
