The Trinity Leadership Tigers (Cedar Hill, TX) football edged the visiting Mildred Eagles (Corsicana, TX), 55-48 in Friday's non-league bout.

In their next game, the Tigers face the Blooming Grove Lions (Blooming Grove, TX) in a 3A-2 Region II District 7 bout, on Friday, October 7. Trinity Leadership will attempt to advance on its 2-3 season record. The Lions enter the bout with a 4-1 record after their 28-14 league loss to Palmer (Palmer, TX).

The Eagles (3-2) will now prepare for their bout against Rice (Rice, TX). The Bulldogs enter the 3A-2 Region II District 7 bout with a 1-4 record. In their last bout, Rice was nudged by Scurry-Rosser (Scurry, TX), 56-13, in a league bout.
