The Oxford Wolverines football team (Oxford, CT), was beaten 27-6 in Friday's non-league challenge with the visiting Seymour Wildcats (Seymour, CT)

The Wildcats (2-2) will now prepare for their challenge against Watertown (Watertown, CT). The Indians come into the non-league challenge with a 1-3 record. In their last challenge, Watertown achieved victory over St. Paul Catholic (Bristol, CT), 28-0, in a non-league challenge.

The Wolverines now sport a 2-2 record. They take the field next when they travel to Gilbert-Northwestern Regional/Housatonic for a Naugatuck Valley - Brass challenge on Friday, October 7. Oxford will meet a Yellowjackets team coming off a 30-20 non-league loss to Ansonia (Ansonia, CT). The Yellowjackets record now stands at 2-2.
