Tennessee High School Football - Signal Mountain held off by Sweetwater

September 30, 2022: Signal Mountain, TN 37377

Sweetwater Wildcats (Sweetwater, TN) fans left the game content Friday as they saw their football team nip the host Signal Mountain Eagles (Signal Mountain, TN), 35-32 in a league test.

With the triumph, Sweetwater improves its record to 5-1 on the campaign. The Wildcats travel to McMinn County (Athens, TN) to battle the Cherokees in a non-league test on Thursday, October 6. The Cherokees come into the test with a record of 4-2. McMinn County won 29-20 in their recent non-league test against East Hamilton (Ooltewah, TN)

With the loss, Signal Mountain drops to 2-5 on the campaign. The Eagles host Roane County (Kingston, TN) to battle the Yellowjackets in a 3A Region 3 test on Friday, October 7. The Yellowjackets come into the test with a record of 6-2. Roane County lost 17-14 in their recent league test against McMinn Central (Englewood, TN)
