September 30, 2022: Columbia, IL 62236 The Columbia Eagles (Columbia, IL) soccer nipped the visiting Normal University Pioneers (Normal, IL), 1-0 in Friday's non-league bout.
With the victory, Columbia moves its record to 12-5 on the year. The Eagles host Marquette Catholic (Alton, IL) to battle the Explorers in a non-league bout on Monday, October 3. The Explorers enter the bout with a record of 11-5. Marquette Catholic lost 6-1 in their recent non-league bout against Triad (Troy, IL)
In their next game, the Pioneers battle the Mendota Trojans (Mendota, IL) in a non-league bout, on Saturday, October 1. Normal University will attempt to move on its 6-10 season record. The Trojans enter the bout with a 15-4 record after their 3-1 non-league loss to Timothy Christian (Elmhurst, IL).
