Averill Park Warriors (Averill Park, NY) fans were thrilled Saturday as they observed their soccer team triumph over the visiting Troy Flying Horses (Troy, NY), 5-0 in a non-league challenge.

Next, the Warriors confront the Schenectady Patriots (Schenectady, NY) in a Suburban Council- Gray challenge, on Tuesday, October 3. Averill Park will attempt to better on its 4-7 season record. The Patriots enter the challenge with a 1-8 record after their 4-0 league loss to Colonie Central (Albany, NY).

The Flying Horses now have a 1-8 record. They take the field next when they host Cohoes for a non-league challenge on Monday, October 2. Troy will confront a Tigers team coming off a 10-0 league win over Lansingburgh (Troy, NY). The Tigers record now stands at 4-5.
