Illinois High School Soccer - Grant Community held off by McHenry
September 30, 2023: McHenry, IL 60050 The McHenry Warriors held off the visiting Grant Community Bulldogs soccer squad by a margin of 2-1 in Saturday's non-league match.
The Warriors now sport a 9-9 record. They play next when they host Crystal Lake South for a Fox Valley match on Tuesday, October 3. McHenry will encounter a Gators squad coming off a 3-0 non-league win over Sycamore (Sycamore, IL). The Gators record now stands at 11-4.
With the loss, Grant Community drops to 9-6 on the season. The Bulldogs host Round Lake (Round Lake, IL) to encounter the Panthers in a Northern Lake County match on Tuesday, October 3. The Panthers come into the match with a record of 10-4. Round Lake won 2-1 in their recent non-league match against Mundelein (Mundelein, IL)
