Illinois High School Soccer - Stevenson nudges Hersey
September 30, 2023: Lincolnshire, IL 60069 Stevenson Patriots (Lincolnshire, IL) supporters were pleased Saturday as they observed their soccer team hold off the visiting Hersey Huskies (Arlington Heights, IL), 1-0 in a non-league challenge.
Next, the Patriots confront the Libertyville Wildcats (Libertyville, IL) in a North Suburban - Lake challenge, on Friday, October 6. Stevenson will attempt to move on its 13-2 season record. The Wildcats enter the challenge with a 5-6 record after their 1-0 non-league win over Cristo Rey St. Martin (Waukegan, IL).
The Huskies now possess a 6-5 record. They take the field next when they travel to Schaumburg for a Mid-Suburban - West challenge on Tuesday, October 3. Hersey will confront a Saxons team coming off a 3-3 non-league Lake Park (Roselle, IL). The Saxons record now stands at 9-3.
