September 30, 2023: Lometa, TX 76853 The Evant Elks volleyball team scored 3 points and limited the host Lometa Hornets to 0 in the Elks non-league victory on Saturday.
The Elks now have a 23-3 record. They put it on the line next when they host Gustine for a 1A Region II District 16 game on Tuesday, October 3. Evant will meet a Tigers team coming off a 3-0 non-league loss to Bluff Dale (Bluff Dale, TX). The Tigers record now stands at 3-5.
The Hornets (0-5) will now prepare for their game against Rochelle (Rochelle, TX). The Hornets enter the 1A Region II District 15 game with a 8-5 record.
