Illinois High School Football - Maine West thwarted by Highland Park
September 30, 2024: Des Plaines, IL 60018 Highland Park Giants (Highland Park, IL) fans went home in high spirits Monday as they saw their football team achieve victory over the host Maine West Warriors (Des Plaines, IL), 38-8 in a non-league battle.
With the win, Highland Park improves its record to 2-1 on the season. The Giants travel to Elk Grove (Elk Grove Village, IL) to play the Grenadiers in a non-league battle on Monday, October 7. The Grenadiers go into the battle with a record of 0-4. Elk Grove lost 38-20 in their recent non-league battle against Lincoln-Way East (Frankfort, IL)
The Warriors now have a 3-1 record. They play next when they travel to Maine East for a battle on Thursday, October 3. Maine West will play a Blue Demons team coming off a 42-0 league loss to Vernon Hills (Vernon Hills, IL). The Blue Demons record now stands at 0-5.
