The Penncrest Lions volleyball squad (Media, PA), was defeated 3-1 in Monday's league battle with the host Marple Newtown Fightin' Tigers (Newtown Square, PA)

With the win, Marple Newtown improves its record to 8-5 on the season. The Fightin' Tigers travel to Academy-Notre Dame De Namur (Villanova, PA) to encounter the in a non-league battle on Wednesday, October 2. The go into the battle with a record of 6-4. Academy-Notre Dame De Namur won 3-2 in their recent league battle against Germantown Academy (Fort Washington, PA)

The Lions now own a 8-5 record. They put it on the line next when they host Harriton for a Central battle on Monday, October 7. Penncrest will encounter a Rams squad coming off a 3-1 league win over Springfield (Springfield, PA). The Rams record now stands at 9-9.
