Virginia High School Football - Oakton tipped by Langley
September 30, 2025: McLean, VA 22101 Langley Saxons (McLean, VA) boosters were happy Tuesday as they witnessed their football squad edge the visiting Oakton Cougars (Vienna, VA), 20-16 in a non-league match.
The Saxons (2-2) will now prepare for their battle against Wakefield School (The Plains, VA). The Fighting Owls go into the non-league battle with a 2-1 record. In their last battle, Wakefield School nipped Washington-Liberty (Arlington, VA), 21-13, in a non-league battle.
The Cougars now own a 1-2 record. They play next when they host South Lakes for a non-league battle on Thursday, October 9. Oakton will confront a Seahawks squad coming off a 47-0 non-league win over Herndon (Herndon, VA). The Seahawks record now stands at 3-0.
