Michigan High School Volleyball - Ypsilanti edged by Melvindale
September 30, 2025: Ypsilanti, MI 48197 Melvindale Cardinals (Melvindale, MI) boosters left the game thrilled Tuesday as they saw their volleyball team tip the host Ypsilanti Grizzlies (Ypsilanti, MI), 2-1 in a non-league challenge.
The Cardinals (6-5) will now prepare for their challenge against Annapolis (Dearborn Heights, MI). The Cougars come into the non-league challenge with a 4-3 record. In their last challenge, Annapolis edged Romulus (Romulus, MI), 3-2, in a non-league challenge.
Next, the Grizzlies meet the Glenn Rockets (Westland, MI) in a non-league challenge, on Thursday, October 2. Ypsilanti will attempt to upgrade on its 4-8 season record. The Rockets come into the challenge with a 1-11 record after their 3-0 league loss to Stevenson (Livonia, MI).
