The Central Lions held off the host Wheeler Wildcats volleyball team by a score of 2-1 in Saturday's non-league test.

The Lions now have a 9-15 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Dalton for a non-league test on Saturday, September 4. Central will confront a Catamounts team coming off a 2-1 non-league win over Lakeview-Fort Oglethorpe (Fort Oglethorpe, GA). The Catamounts record now stands at 4-7.

The Wildcats (2-13) will now prepare for their test against Kell (Marietta, GA). The Longhorns enter the non-league test with a 8-9 record. In their last test, Kell was nudged by North Cobb (Kennesaw, GA), 2-1, in a non-league test.
