September 4, 2024: Union Bridge, MD 21791 Long Reach Lightning (Columbia, MD) backers exited the stadium pleased Wednesday as they witnessed their soccer team knock off the host Francis Scott Key Eagles (Union Bridge, MD), 4-2 in a non-league test.
With the triumph, Long Reach advances its record to 1-0 on the campaign. The Lightning host Glenelg (Glenelg, MD) to clash with the Gladiators in a Howard County test on Tuesday, September 10. The Gladiators come into the test with a record of 0-0.
The Eagles now have a 0-1 record. They take the field next when they host Mountain Ridge for a non-league test on Saturday, September 7. Francis Scott Key will clash with a Miners team coming off a 3-0 non-league win over Bedford (Bedford, PA). The Miners record now stands at 1-0.
