Texas High School Football - Waco can't hold off Corsicana
September 4, 2024: Waco, TX 76710 Corsicana Tigers (Corsicana, TX) followers went home pleased Wednesday as they saw their football team nip the host Waco Lions (Waco, TX), 20-14 in a non-league battle.
With the win, Corsicana advances its record to 1-0 on the season. The Tigers travel to Hallsville (Hallsville, TX) to play the Bobcats in a non-league battle on Thursday, September 12. The Bobcats go into the battle with a record of 0-1.
The Lions now own a 0-1 record. They play next when they host Navasota for a non-league battle on Thursday, September 19. Waco will play a Rattlers team coming off a 28-16 non-league win over Madisonville (Madisonville, TX). The Rattlers record now stands at 1-0.
