September 4, 2024: Loganton, PA 17747 The Shamokin Area Indians (Coal Township, PA) volleyball knocked off the host Sugar Valley Rural Phoenix (Loganton, PA), 3-0 in Wednesday's league bout.
The Indians now possess a 1-0 record. They play next when they travel to North Schuylkill for a non-league bout on Saturday, September 7. Shamokin Area will clash with a Spartans team coming off a 3-0 league loss to Mahanoy Area (Mahanoy City, PA). The Spartans record now stands at 0-1.
With the loss, Sugar Valley Rural drops to 0-3 on the campaign. The Phoenix travel to Midd-West (Middleburg, PA) to clash with the Mustangs in a PIAA District IV bout on Thursday, September 5. The Mustangs come into the bout with a record of 0-1. Midd-West lost 3-0 in their recent non-league bout against Juniata (Mifflintown, PA)
