In Thursday's non-league game, the Fort Bend Hightower Hurricanes (Missouri City, TX) football team tipped the visiting Westfield Mustangs (Houston, TX), by a margin of 29-25.

The Hurricanes now sport a 2-0 record. They take the field next when they travel to Port Arthur Memorial for a non-league outing on Friday, September 12. Fort Bend Hightower will clash with a Titans squad coming off a 53-49 non-league win over Legacy School of Sport Sciences (Spring, TX). The Titans record now stands at 2-0.
