California High School Football - Western crushed by Huntington Beach

September 4, 2025: Huntington Beach, CA 92648

The Huntington Beach Oilers walloped the visiting Western Pioneers football team by a score of 48-7 in Thursday's non-league challenge.

In their next game, the Oilers play the Redondo Union Sea Hawks (Redondo Beach, CA) in a non-league test, on Friday, September 12. Huntington Beach will attempt to upgrade on its 2-1 season record. The Sea Hawks come into the test with a 0-2 record after their 31-0 non-league loss to Mira Costa (Manhattan Beach, CA).

With the defeat, Western drops to 2-1 on the campaign. The Pioneers host La Mirada (La Mirada, CA) to meet the Matadores in a non-league test on Thursday, September 11. The Matadores go into the challenge with a record of 2-1. La Mirada lost 17-5 in their recent non-league challenge against Tesoro (Rancho Santa Margarita, CA)
