Texas High School Football - Laredo LBJ sneaks past Nixon

The Laredo LBJ Wolves football squad scored 14 points and limited the host Nixon Mustangs to 10 in the Wolves non-league triumph on Thursday.

The Wolves now sport a 2-0 record. They take the field next when they host Weslaco for a non-league test on Saturday, September 13. Laredo LBJ will meet a Panthers squad coming off a 31-24 non-league win over McAllen Memorial (McAllen, TX). The Panthers record now stands at 2-0.

The Mustangs (1-1) will now prepare for their challenge against Southwest (San Antonio, TX). The Dragons enter the 5A-1 Region IV District 14 challenge with a 2-0 record. In their last challenge, Southwest held off Lockhart (Lockhart, TX), 21-19, in a non-league challenge.
