Virginia High School Football - Norcom loses to Petersburg
September 4, 2025: Petersburg, VA 23805 Petersburg Crimson Wave (Petersburg, VA) followers went home pleased Thursday as they saw their football team gain a win over the visiting Norcom Greyhounds (Portsmouth, VA), 30-6 in a non-league battle.
With the win, Petersburg advances its record to 2-0 on the season. The Crimson Wave travel to Southampton (Courtland, VA) to play the Indians in a non-league battle on Friday, September 12. The Indians go into the battle with a record of 1-0. Southampton won 48-0 in their recent non-league battle against John Marshall (Richmond, VA)
The Greyhounds now have a 0-2 record. They play next when they host Varina for a non-league match on Friday, September 12. Norcom will meet a Blue Devils squad coming off a 14-13 non-league loss to Maury (Norfolk, VA). The Blue Devils record now stands at 1-1.
