Virginia High School Volleyball - McLean can't get by Oakton
September 4, 2025: Vienna, VA 22181 Oakton Cougars (Vienna, VA) followers left the game satisfied Thursday as they saw their volleyball squad edge the visiting McLean Highlanders (McLean, VA), 2-1 in a non-league test.
With the win, Oakton advances its record to 1-1 on the season. The Cougars host Centreville (Clifton, VA) to face the Wildcats in a non-league test on Tuesday, September 9. The Wildcats go into the test with a record of 1-1.
The Highlanders now sport a 0-2 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to George C. Marshall for a non-league test on Monday, September 8. McLean will face a Statesmen team coming off a 2-0 non-league win over Wakefield School (The Plains, VA). The Statesmen record now stands at 1-2.
