Athens Red Hawks (Troy, MI) fans went home in high spirits Thursday as they saw their football team achieve victory over the visiting Northern Phoenix (Pontiac, MI), 14-0 in a non-league battle.

With the win, Athens improves its record to 1-1 on the season. The Red Hawks host Oak Park (Oak Park, MI) to meet the Knights in a non-league test on Thursday, September 11. The Knights come into the test with a record of 0-1. Oak Park lost 42-36 in their recent non-league test against Berkley (Berkley, MI)
