The Harnett Central Trojans football squad scored 14 points and limited the visiting Smithfield-Selma Spartans to 8 in the Trojans non-league triumph on Thursday.

The Trojans now sport a 2-1 record. They take the field next when they travel to South Johnston for a non-league test on Thursday, September 18.

With the defeat, Smithfield-Selma drops to 0-3 on the year. The Spartans host Southern Wayne (Dudley, NC) to face the Saints in a non-league challenge on Thursday, September 11. The Saints enter the challenge with a record of 0-0.
