September 4, 2025: Rocky Mount, NC 27803 The Rocky Mount Gryphons football squad scored 44 points and limited the visiting Nash Central Bulldogs to 14 in the Gryphons non-league triumph on Thursday.
The Gryphons now sport a 2-1 record. They take the field next when they host Vance County for a non-league outing on Thursday, September 11. Rocky Mount will clash with a Vipers squad coming off a 33-0 non-league loss to Jordan (Durham, NC). The Vipers record now stands at 1-1.
With the defeat, Nash Central drops to 0-3 on the campaign. The Bulldogs travel to Southern Nash (Bailey, NC) to clash with the Firebirds in a non-league game on Thursday, September 11. The Firebirds enter the game with a record of 1-2. Southern Nash lost 44-14 in their recent non-league game against James Kenan (Warsaw, NC)
