Arizona High School Volleyball - Somerton edged by Palo Verde Valley
September 4, 2025: Somerton, AZ 85350 Palo Verde Valley Yellow Jackets (Blythe, CA) boosters left the game thrilled Thursday as they saw their volleyball squad nudge the host Somerton Toros (Somerton, AZ), 2-1 in a non-league challenge.
The Yellow Jackets (1-1) will now prepare for their challenge against Holtville (Holtville, CA). The Vikings come into the non-league challenge with a 3-2 record. In their last challenge, Holtville edged Calexico (Calexico, CA), 2-1, in a non-league challenge.
Next, the Toros meet the San Luis Sidewinders (San Luis, AZ) in a non-league challenge, on Monday, September 8. Somerton will attempt to upgrade on its 1-2 season record. The Sidewinders come into the challenge with a 0-1 record after their 2-0 non-league loss to Mountain Pointe (Phoenix, AZ).
