September 4, 2025: Taylorsville, NC 28681 Fans at Thursday's non-league battle between the Hibriten Panthers (Lenoir, NC) and the host Alexander Central Cougars (Taylorsville, NC), saw Hibriten's soccer squad knock off Alexander Central by a count of 2-0.
The Panthers (4-2) will now prepare for their battle against Ashe County (West Jefferson, NC). The Huskies come into the non-league match with a 4-2 record. In their last match, Ashe County nipped Freedom (Morganton, NC), 3-0, in a non-league match.
The Cougars now sport a 5-3 record. They take the field next when they host North Iredell for a non-league match on Monday, September 8. Alexander Central will meet a Raiders team coming off a 7-0 non-league loss to West Cabarrus (Concord, NC). The Raiders record now stands at 4-1.
