September 4, 2025: Colcord, OK 74338 Verdigris Cardinals (Claremore, OK) backers left the game pleased Thursday as they saw their softball squad nudge the host Colcord Hornets (Colcord, OK), 7-0 in a non-league match.
The Cardinals (9-3) will now prepare for their match against Newcastle (Newcastle, OK). The Racers come into the non-league match with a 6-3 record. In their last match, Newcastle nipped Booker T. Washington (Tulsa, OK), 10-0, in a non-league match.
Next up, the Hornets play the Jay Bulldogs (Jay, OK) in a non-league game, on Monday, September 8. Colcord will attempt to upgrade on its 8-3 season record. The Bulldogs enter the game with a 1-10 record after their 12-1 non-league loss to Skiatook (Skiatook, OK).
