Falls Lake Firebirds (Creedmoor, NC) boosters left the game thrilled Thursday as they saw their volleyball squad achieve victory over the visiting Chapel Hill Tigers (Chapel Hill, NC), 3-0 in a non-league test.

With the win, Falls Lake upgrades its record to 12-2 on the year. The Firebirds host Oxford Prep (Oxford, NC) to meet the Griffins in a Triangle North 1A/2A challenge on Tuesday, September 9. The Griffins enter the challenge with a record of 4-6.

Next, the Tigers meet the Apex Friendship Patriots (Apex, NC) in a non-league challenge, on Tuesday, September 9. Chapel Hill will attempt to upgrade on its 4-4 season record. The Patriots enter the challenge with a 1-5 record after their 3-0 league loss to Green Level (Cary, NC).
