In Thursday's non-league challenge, the host Greater Beckley Christian Crusaders volleyball team scored a close 3-2 victory over the River View Raiders.

With the win, Greater Beckley Christian improves its record to 1-1 on the season. The Crusaders travel to Midland Trail (Hico, WV) to face the Patriots in a non-league test on Thursday, September 18. The Patriots go into the test with a record of 1-1.

The Raiders now own a 5-1 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to PikeView for a non-league test on Tuesday, September 9.
