Illinois High School Soccer - Rochester nudges Normal University
September 5, 2023: Normal, IL 61761 Rochester Rockets (Rochester, IL) fans were pleased Tuesday as they observed their soccer team hold off the host Normal University Pioneers (Normal, IL), 3-2 in a league challenge.
Next, the Rockets confront the Williamsville Bullets (Williamsville, IL) in a non-league challenge, on Wednesday, September 6. Rochester will attempt to better on its 5-3 season record. The Bullets enter the challenge with a 5-0 record after their 5-0 non-league win over St. Teresa (Decatur, IL).
The Pioneers now have a 4-3 record. They take the field next when they host Cornerstone Christian for a non-league challenge on Saturday, September 9. Normal University will confront a Cyclones team coming off a 5-3 non-league loss to St. Teresa (Decatur, IL). The Cyclones record now stands at 0-7.
