September 5, 2023: Melbourne, AR 72556 The crowd at Tuesday's non-league bout between the Central Arkansas Christian Mustangs (North Little Rock, AR) and the host Melbourne Bearkatz (Melbourne, AR), saw Central Arkansas Christian's volleyball squad beat Melbourne by a tally of 3-0.
With the win, Central Arkansas Christian upgrades its record to 5-3 on the year. The Mustangs host Jessieville (Jessieville, AR) to play the Lions in a 3A Central bout on Thursday, September 7. The Lions go into the bout with a record of 1-2.
The Bearkatz now own a 2-4 record. They take the field next when they host Valley Springs for a 3A Northwest match on Tuesday, September 5. Melbourne will battle a Tigers squad coming off a 3-0 league win over Flippin (Flippin, AR). The Tigers record now stands at 9-0.
